Intro to Plant ID- Free PDF Download

Hey all!

I’ve taken a leave of absence during the semester, but I was recently asked to host a wildflower walk and plant ID workshop. To supplement this event, I created a workbook for getting started with plant ID in Texas. Here it is:


If you have no plant ID experience and are looking to get started, this is a leaflet I’ve created for the beginner botanist. While it is created for Texas forbs, it is generally suitable for other areas. Here’s a preview:

My main resources for this packet are the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center native plant index and Wildflowers of the Texas Hill Country by M. Enquist.
